Program Overview

After Typhoon Halong hit Western Alaska in October 2025, many Alaskans were left facing a long and confusing recovery.  

RurAL CAP and the Halong Alaska Recovery Team’s Disaster Case Management Committee are here to support you. Our Disaster Case Managers across multiple partner agencies, work one-on-one with affected individuals and families to understand their needs, support survivor-driven recovery, and connect them to available resources. We help with applications, paperwork, and follow-up so you don’t have to navigate recovery alone. 

Working with other disaster response groups through the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) team’s Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG), we partner with organizations to make sure recovery support is coordinated and reaches the people who need it most. 

Our role is simple:
to walk alongside you and help you move forward.
