Program Overview

RurAL CAP’s Senior Access program offers home accessibility to households with seniors age 55 and older in southeast, northern and western Alaska. We serve homeowners and renters living in a variety of housing situations: single family homes, cabins, mobile homes, condominiums, assisted living facilities, and multifamily dwellings.
We modify existing residences, allowing seniors to safely and comfortably age in place. Home additions may include stairway modification, ramp installation, roll-in showers, widened doorways, and installation of grab bars.
