Teacher Apprenticeship
With full-time classroom work, eligible apprentices gain valuable hands-on teaching experience that helps them develop teaching skills under the guidance of a qualified mentor teacher.
Who We Serve
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet physical requirements established by the employer
- Be eligible to work in an Alaska public school and meet any additional requirements set by the college or training institution
Services Provided
“Learn-while-you-earn” program combines structured academic instruction with on-the-job learning while working in a early education classroom under the guidance of a mentor teacher.
