Weatherization

Program Overview

RurAL CAP provides weatherization services to homes in northern and western Alaska, Juneau, and Anchorage. This service increases safety and energy efficiency through home improvements and client education at no charge to the participant.

After approving an application, our team visits the individual’s/family’s home and determines which improvements are necessary. Typical updates include air-sealing, insulation, ventilation, heating system improvements, and the installation of new smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
