Elders & Youth

Resilient Alaska Youth (RAY)

Through the Resilient Alaskan Youth (RAY) program, local volunteers cultivate resiliency, supportive relationships, and positive cultural identities among youth in their community.

AmeriCorps Seniors

AmeriCorps Seniors engages volunteers 55+ in service roles that support children, older adults, and those with special needs, fostering community connections and well-being.

We engage with youth through the Youth Encouraging Alaskans’ Health (YEAH) Teen Ambassadors program.

The Growing Rural Opportunities for Wellness (GROW) Program provides training, technical assistance, and funding opportunities to people growing food in rural Alaska.

The Resource Basket

Our Resource Basket Training and Technical Assistance Center helps rural communities support healthy, successful, and culturally connected Alaska Native youth by offering training, resources, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center

The center supports the delivery of statewide training and technical assistance services to tribes and tribal organizations seeking to develop or enhance their respective tribal justice systems. We provide access to statewide nonprofit, public, and tribal relationships, in addition to nationwide partnerships, affiliations, and services as needed.

Youth Development & Culture Grants

Youth Development and Culture Grants, a mini grant program, supports youth leadership and cultural activities in rural Alaska Native communities through a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation.

Community Action Resource Center

The Community Action Resource Center (CARC) supports Alaskan communities and organizations through customized capacity-building solutions. We provide technical assistance, project planning, and resource development that strengthen local leadership, operations, and long-term sustainability.

Rural Administration Technical Assistance

This program helps rural and tribal organizations strengthen their administrative, operational, and financial systems. Our team provides free, tailored technical assistance and training to build capacity and support long-term success across Alaska.

REAP–TAG

Through the USDA’s REAP-TAG program, RurAL CAP helps rural small businesses and agricultural producers access funding for renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects. We provide free technical assistance with grant applications, project planning, and energy upgrades statewide.

Alaska Tribal Victim Services

The Alaska Tribal Victim Services Program provides Training & Technical Assistance to tribes receiving grant funding from the Denali Commission to assess needs, plan for, and implement services supporting victims of crime.

Calricaraq

Calricaraq promotes healing and balance through Yup’ik cultural values and teachings. Rooted in Indigenous wellness and guided by Elders, this trauma-informed program supports individuals and communities in restoring identity, resilience, and healthy living.
