Meet Our Team

From staff to board, our team is here to support and strengthen Alaska’s communities.

Strategic Direction

Alaska is at a pivotal moment with substantial economic and infrastructure opportunities within reach for our rural communities. Intentional capacity building and partnerships will enhance equitable access, bolster self-determination, and create a sustainable future across Alaska.

Our Objectives

RurAL CAP’s Board of Directors has identified Strategic Priorities through 2028 to guide our work. This unified approach integrates our statewide collaborations and directs new initiatives.

Our Pillars

As Alaska’s only Community Action Agency, we focus on addressing poverty from every angle and instilling empowerment across our programs. Our core mission—to empower low-income Alaskans through advocacy, education, affordable housing, and direct services—comes to life through four service areas:

  • Early Childhood Education
  • Victim Services & Wellness
  • Housing
  • Community Development
