RurAL CAP names new Chief Financial Officer

Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc., (RurAL CAP), a statewide nonprofit, named Selena Bailey Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Bailey joins RurAL CAP with more than 16 years of experience in the accounting field, where she worked in multiple industries including public accounting, for profit, nonprofit, and publicly traded companies. 

“We’re grateful to Selena for lending her expertise and passion to our agency’s mission of empowering low-income Alaskans,” said Tiel Smith, RurAL CAP’s Chief Executive Officer.

Bringing a wealth of technical skills she has gained through education, certification, and past career experience, Bailey displays strong leadership, motivation and inspiration. Bailey said she believes in “working hard and having fun doing it.”

When she isn’t working, Bailey enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, quilting, and sewing. 

“I have a love for people,” Bailey stated, “and am thrilled to be joining the RurAL CAP team and being part of fulfilling our mission.”
